If you are a transit buff, you certainly have watched "Taking of Pelham One Two Three" with Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time. The storyline is simple — a band of crooks take over a subway train in the hopes of making a lot of money. It’s well worth watching even if you aren’t a transit buff.

This morning while picking up a bagel, there were signs that a film crew would be on site this weekend filming the NEW Taking of Pelham One Two Three! The signs were in Queens on Broadway near 33rd-37th streets. It looks like the filming will take place on Saturday. The closest subway is the N train to Broadway, then about a 2-3 block walk.

Update: per a friend, they are apparently filming all over the city – but if you want to see it this weekend, then you know where to go.
