Atlanta does not have the big open top buses that are popular in other large cities. But MARTA has launched a new service to help tourists. MARTA, Atlanta's Public Transport System has started a new service. It is called the Atlanta Tourist Loop (nickname ATL) but will take you as a tourist from all of the big hotels to most of the major downtown and midtown attractions.
The Tourist Loop bus goes to the following attractions:
- Georgia Aquarium
- High Museum of Art
- CNN Center
- Georgia Dome/Philips Arena
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Center
- Atlanta Botanical Garden
- Underground Atlanta
- State Capitol
- Fox Theatre
- Piedmont Park
- World of Coca-Cola and other major attractions, hotels, restaurants and shops
The best part of it is that it is the same price as a normal fare: $1.75! Runs about every 20 minutes.
